Rule of thumb for hammocks with a rod:
The rod should be as long as the fabric is wide; otherwise the hammock will sag.
Hint:
The rods of a hammock should never be shorter than 110 cm.
Useful information:
In this context a lot of hammock suppliers talk about XXL or king-size hammocks. For La Siesta 110 cm rod length is minimum size.
80-100 cm width: very small hammock, not to be recommended.
110-130 cm width: normal size for one grown up.
140-150 cm width: generous size, also for 2 grown ups.
Hammocks with rods are not suitable for children.
